PaDaEx: a R shiny Pandemic Data Visualisation and Analysis Tool

Project for Mathematical Structures of Complex Systems, Heidelberg University, WS 2019/2020

by Steffen Bauer

Abstract

With the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic a huge amount of data emerged and is still emerging almost everywhere and of varying qualities. The Pandemic Data Explorer (PaDaEx) is intended to visualise and analyse these datasets. The tool focuses on estimating the effective reproduction numbers but also displays pandemic related data such as governmental responses. It is based on R and uses shiny to make it available to the public. The development has been initiated within the COVID-19 Epidemiology Project and is still continued.
